4th consecutive game the UT bullpen has struggled. Augie may soon have their starters serving as closer inbetween starts, not that that would be unprecedented for him.

Walt,
Actually, the starters are not doing their jobs and putting tons of pressure on the relievers.
Boone: 4 1/3 = 3 ER Didn't give the relievers a chance and got the loss Walker: 3 = 3 ER, Alaniz sucked, but got the win Russell: 7 = 2 ER, but still got the loss (got to score more than 1) Harris: 4 1/3 = 3 ER, Krebs held and got the win Russell: 3 2/3 = 3 ER, Alaniz blew the game, but all the relievers sucked
Starters ERA = 5.65, 0-2, Actually only one good performance so far
Relievers have actually won two and only blown one game, but are very up and down. Alaniz is not himself and doesn't look recovered. His ERA is over 8. Boone has already pitched one inning of relief.
Opponents are hitting .298 vs UT's .268. 5 of 8 UT pitchers have an ERA over 6, and opponents are hitting .333 or higher against 5 of 8.
Reliever Krebs is the best so far, with starter Russell doing pretty good as well. The others will get better and find their place as time goes on.

Sandbass, I'd be more concerned with the Longhorns pitching than with the offense, which just as is the case with the Owls, is far too talented not to come around by the end of the month. Personally, I've never been a big fan of Alaniz. He's certainly a solid-to-good college pitcher, but really nothing more. The guys I like are Krebs, Boone and Woods...but, unlike Texas teams of the past, you don't appear to have the depth you've had in the recent past. Time will tell. Hang in there; things will turn around eventually.

Another poor start today. Walker loads the bases only to be pulled and have Woods walk in a run and then give up a double to score two more.
Sure Walker loaded them, but Woods is supposed to control it, not give up all three.

Sandbass, at least misery loves company-- both Georgia Tech and Tulane got upset today.
