They were supposed to play in Lawrence KS but got "turfed"/weathered out...seems like this was the only time they could get games in at the metrodome.
Pretty psycho. Feel sort of poorly for the two starting pitchers (plus I'm guessing at least four more out of the pen) at 4:30 am.
Anyway, yes...insane.

6-5...game must have ended around 4 am.
Because conflicting interests, despite the alma mater losing to a probationary D1, I am happy about it.
Looks like the Hawks have some work to do. 3 E's, 5 H's (one being a 3-run bomb by Erik Morrison -- Kendall, he's gotta be on the fringe of your top 10 3b's) against a team the shelled a year ago. Good thing it's pretty early (as was this game).
Game 2 started after game 1, but it was suspended until tomorrow early morning, due to the NAIA/D2 tournament being held at the Metrodome.
Crazy series.

Kendall, see if you can track down attendence figs for the two games. Insane indeed... bonafide crazy.

Well, it's official, they don't count players/coaches/umps as part of the attendance.
Attendance for the first game: 33.
Yes, 33. Not 330. 33.

Fans... or die-hard family members?

And the second game (started at 4am?) was suspended in the 9th! Getting up in the middle of the night to engage under the lights in the inconsequential...
These guys will have a story for life!

No joke. I mean, really...who ever even thinks of doing this? I'm fairly certain that the one or two people that did think of this didn't like the initial result.
Just nuts if you ask me. In a way though, I kind of like it. Balls to the wall...hopefully...
