COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The top-ranked Rice Owls had another successful week on the diamond, as they went a perfect 4-0 with a midweek win over LSU and a road series sweep of C-USA foe Marshall. This marks the sixth-straight week that the Owls occupy the top spot in the Rosenblatt Report Top 25. With the C-USA Tournament coming up, the Owls are a virtual lock to be a national seed. While Rice upholds the top spot this week, there was plenty of movement throughout the rankings - particularly in the Top 10. Cal State Fullerton and Oregon State moved into the No's 4 and 5 spots, courtesy of series losses by Texas and Kentucky. Virginia also gained ground in the rankings, while Arkansas and Alabama stayed put at No's 9 and 10, respectively. Elsewhere around the nation, Oklahoma State moved from No. 16 to No. 12 after sweeping Texas Tech at home, while Georgia made one of the largest leaps this week, going from No. 20 to No. 13 following a series win over red-hot Kentucky. Nebraska fell from No. 12 to No. 16 after losing two of three at home to Oklahoma, while Arizona State dropped from No. 13 to No. 19 following a series loss to in-state rival Arizona. Rounding out the rest of the Top 25, Elon and San Francisco entered this week's rankings, while South Carolina and Wake Forest dropped out. The Rosenblatt Report's Top 25 Rankings are selected by a pre-determined panel on Sunday night of each week. The records used in our rankings do not include ties.
